3Cs of Success in a Nutrition and Fitness Program

If you’ve started or restarted your nutrition and fitness journey, surpassed January and keeping to your 2022 “new year’s resolution” until today - congratulations! You’re definitely at a good jump off point! Now, the question is how do we sustain this to achieve your desired results? We share the habits of our successful members who have either progressed constantly, reached their goals, and / or exceed it. Let’s break it down: being “successful” at your nutrition and fitness journey is a daunting task, so let us simplify! Let’s begin with “Action Precedes Motivation,” and put yourself on the perspective that you can't wait until you feel inspired to act. Motivation doesn't just happen; instead, it is a reaction to intention and integrity. When you begin taking small steps in the right direction, motivation, and momentum immediately kicks in. By regularly practicing an action / set of actions, it eventually becomes an acquired mode of behavior - a habit. Lastly, consistency needs to keep so those habit become a settled regular tendency; one that is hard to give up. It’s a cycle by which when in doubt, always go back to “Action Precedes Motivation.”

Here are qualities we see from our most successful members:

COMMITTED

We all have priorities in daily lives, and including nutrition and fitness in the priority list is a founding pillar in the journey to be. Our most successful members set aside time to either prepare or mindfully choose the quality, quantity and frequency of their food intake. Interestingly, they make movement or working out a non negotiable activity on a daily basis. Having a regular schedule you can stick to, helps with being committed with the journey.

COMMUNICATES

Having access to a Personal Coach lays out a two-way relationship. Members with impactful results make use of this great resource regularly too. Communicate how you physically feel, what your challenges are, share your wins, and asking questions - opens conversation, discussion and ultimately, produces action plans and solutions. Giving and receiving feedback is essential to growth and improvement!

Did you know that during your whole program duration, Coaches are available for any time questions via Whatsapp; or an hour call via Zoom on a scheduled day and time? Coaches regularly ask for feedback on a bi weekly basis via your private Whatsapp chat group; and a monthly basis via the email asking for your metrics, and a preferred schedule for a coaching call. Try to get into a conversation with your Coach at least once a month!

CONSISTENT

We can never say it enough! Within the YDD Nutrition and Fitness Program realm, there is no need for perfection to be successful in reaching goals. Being 80% compliant to your meal plan and making 20% space to have treat meals - provides controlled normalcy between eating whats good for your body and indulging in food we love. Simply following this consistently is your best bet to achieving success in the program. Consistent means keeping this non restrictive 80-20 ratio during the whole duration of your program. Embracing your nutrition plan as a lifestyle, rather than just a momentary “diet” of the week or month, is essential to your success.
