OJ Protein Shake by Bug

Protein intake is something we take seriously at Your Daily Dose. That’s because it greatly helps in building lean muscle. When we have more lean muscle in our body, we will also have less body fat. Speaking of protein intake, we can opt to take our protein in non solid form, for variation. It may be hard for some to intake lots of solid proteins, so protein shakes are a great go to, to hit that daily protein requirement! Protein drinks, shakes, or smoothies are super convenient to prepare and consume. Try this protein shake variation for that “orange julius” nostalgia - but a healthier option! OJ Protein Shake

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

  • 1 cup cut and peeled fresh oranges or 1/2 cup orange juice (we like Florida’s Natural OJ)

  • 1 cup peeled bananas

  • 1/2 cup almond milk

  • 1 and 1/2 cup ice cubes

Method

  • Use Blender

  • First Batch to Blend: almond milk, orange juice or fresh orange, bananas, protein powder

  • Add ice in small batches until you achieve your desired consistency for the drink
